Terms & Conditions
These website terms explain how this site is used and how Meadow Wood Preservation handles survey enquiries. Detailed terms for reports, quotations, guarantees and remedial work are provided with the relevant paperwork.
Who We Are
Meadow Wood Preservation is a damp proofing and timber treatment company based at 20 Banbury Close, Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, NN8 2LP. You can contact us on 01933 825246, 07788 711780 or [email protected].
Free Survey Eligibility
Our free survey offer is intended for genuine homeowners, landlords and domestic property customers within our service area who need advice about damp, woodworm, wet rot, dry rot or related remedial work. Survey fees may apply for pre-purchase or remortgage inspections.
A free survey and report is not intended for trade tendering, competitor price-checking, speculative report requests, insurance disputes, legal claims, expert witness work or commercial specification instructions unless we agree this in writing beforehand.
We may decline a free survey, ask for more information before attending, or quote separately where the request is outside the normal scope of a free domestic survey.
Survey Advice and Reports
During a survey, we inspect accessible affected areas and explain our findings as clearly as possible. Any quotation or written recommendation is based on the areas we can reasonably inspect at the time.
If you need a formal written report, mortgage-related report, third-party report, expert opinion, or a report for negotiation, insurance or legal purposes, this may be chargeable. Any charge will be explained before we proceed.
We aim to issue reports within 5 working days of the survey date.
Access and Property Conditions
You are responsible for ensuring safe and reasonable access to the property, affected areas, lofts, floors, cellars or outbuildings where inspection is requested. We may be unable to inspect concealed, unsafe, blocked or inaccessible areas.
We do not move heavy furniture, lift fitted flooring, open up walls, remove fixtures or fittings, or carry out destructive investigation during a survey unless this has been agreed separately.
Quotations, Reports and Guarantees
Formal terms relating to a specific report, quotation, guarantee or remedial work will be provided with the relevant paperwork. Those documents explain the scope, limitations, validity period and any guarantee conditions that apply to that specific job.
Quotations are based on the information available at the time of survey. If hidden defects, additional decay, concealed damp, structural issues or access problems are discovered later, the scope and cost of work may need to be revised.
Appointments
Please give as much notice as possible if you need to rearrange or cancel an appointment. We may need to rearrange appointments due to weather, emergency work, illness, access problems or circumstances outside our control.
Website Information
The information on this website is general guidance only. It should not be treated as a property-specific diagnosis. Damp and timber problems require inspection before the right solution can be confirmed.
Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these terms limits any legal rights you may have as a consumer. We are not responsible for losses caused by inaccurate information supplied to us, hidden defects, inaccessible areas, third-party work or issues outside the agreed scope of our service.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The latest version will be published on this page.
